Competition law:

We boast thirty years of experience in competition law. The team's skills range from cartel and abuse of dominant position cases, to assistance in merger operations and the drafting of vertical and horizontal agreements.

We have a network of international contacts that allows us, for example, to manage transnational agreements and distribution networks, including selective distribution.

In recent years, the powers granted to competition authorities have significantly increased. Their ability to influence business activities has a strong impact on companies and ultimately determines their conduct. The authorities can carry out investigations and impose sanctions. Being virtuous and implementing effective strategies and risk management is therefore a focus for companies, whatever sector they operate in.

Our team has therefore developed compliance and audit systems that are then adapted from time to time to the specific needs of the client.

Furthermore, the spread of protective actions before civil courts, notably requests for urgent measures and claims for damages, has allowed us to extend our expertise to the so-called private enforcement

RECENT EXPERIENCES

• Assistance to a company in a complaint for abuse of dominant position before the Competition and Market Authority;
• Assistance to a company in relation to a tolling agreement with a competitor;

• Preparation of an antitrust compliance program including preliminary audit and subsequent training as well as review of the Antitrust code of conduct;

• Represented a client in a stand-alone action before the Milan Court. The dispute was settled with an agreement providing for compensation in favor of our client for the damages suffered;

• Represented a company in a cartel case before the Competition and Market Authority. The proceedings ended without a finding of infringement against our client while the other companies (except one) were all sanctioned.
